Love

A stare, to understand
A touch, to feel
A kiss, to apologize
A hug, to comfort
A life, to love.

Come let's change the world.

Forget about your pocket money,
Forget about your bank balance,
Come with me outside.
Forget about the riches,
Forget about the price tags,
Come and see the world.
Forget about your breakfast,
Forget about your vehicle,
Come and see what others have not.

Come and see your relatives,
see your best friends,
who hide their fate under a smile.
Come and see your neighbors,
see your leaders,
who show nothing outside.
Come and see the beggars around,
See the one who sleeps on roadside,
who bury hunger deep inside.
Come and see the eyes of those mothers,
see those fathers, emotionless,
who ignore their children’s cry.

Come and see the girl child,
see the women folks around,
who pretend to walk brave.
Come and see these streets, full of blood,
see our youth,
who turned out to be apathetic.
Come and see the families of farmers,
see the families of laborers,
who seek eternal peace at a rope end.
Come and see the minorities,
see the oppressed,
who are pressed under social autocrats.

Come and see the media,
see how it masks sheep into foxes,
which once stood for veracity.
Come and see the elected ones,
see those, on whom we laid our trust,
who now suck each drop of our blood.
Come and see the fake world leaders,
see what they have gained,
who were once feared and sent to jail.

Forget about your past and cast,
come, stay side by side.
Open your eyes,
stop your fake sleep,
see the real world.
Open your tool box,
do the bit of yours,
encourage, friends of yours.
See the world,
Be the change,
Change the world.

NOSTALGIA

Gone are the moments of joy,
Gone are the moments of happiness,
Gone are the heartwarming days,
Gone are the mesmerizing time.

Reminiscence makes my day melancholy,
Glumly I stand, downhearted.

Gone are the glorious times, irredeemable,
Gone are the melodious times, fleeting,
Gone are the playful years, certainly,
Gone are the pretty years, inconceivable.

Little Sister

I have a charming little sister,
she is my treasure;
When she sees me, her brother,
she smiles out of border.
With pliant footsteps,
she heads towards me;
Full of love, I take her, right-
in my arms and hug her tight.
On my shoulders, she laughs aloud,
and happiness all around.
