BEING SELFISH

I want to live my life for me
Not for those around me,
I want to speak up for me
So that I can stop being so mean to myself;
I want to be arrogant to those around me
So that I can be playful to myself
I want to rule the world all alone
So that I can have everything for myself;

I want to be so selfish
So that I can be great one day
I want to fly so high
So that I can be on the top one day
I want to dive into the deep sea
So that I can come up with pearls one day;

I want to take the burden off my head
So that I can have a head for myself,
I want to be all alone
So that I can cry aloud
I want the clouds to take me
So that I can chill
I want to touch the moon
So that I can brighten up
I want to lie with the stars
So that I can shine
I want to sit in the graveyard
So that I can rest in peace;
I want to live my life for me
Not for those around me.
